I bought this book to use with my almost 3 year old daughter who is very verbal and astute. I used other bible story materials with her in the past but she mastered the stories quickly so i wanted something that would keep the stories fresh and fun as well as easy to implement. I purchased this book based on my prior knowledge and experience with the quality of Group Publishing's materials; nevertheless, I had some reservations because there was no "Look Inside" option. Well, the faith purchase paid off! We've had this book for about 2 weeks and it has been a HUGE hit with both my daughter and me. In fact, I ordered the sequel this week because I want to be sure I have enough material to choose from.We typically read just before bed and this book engenders laughter and creativity to deeply embed the word of God on the heart of both youngster and parent. I love that each story is illustrated differently and with a different writing style such that it is like reading several books in one. Also, the songs with actions are easy to learn and do; no rehearsal necessary. It's definitely material that you can use impromptu and appear well-planned.My daughter typically asks me to sing the songs "again, Mommy" and while many of them are set to the tune of popular nursery rhymes, it is not uncommon to hear her singing one of the songs during the day--using the lyrics learned from the Pray and Play Bible. For sure, she is learning the Word and having fun doing it.This weekend we will try the crafts and activities. I am looking forward to it as much as I think she will enjoy it. Group Publishing, you never cease to "Wow!" me.

This book is wonderful. It's a great way to share Bible stories and relate fun games, songs, snacks and activities to the bible story. I've been using it for my Sunday school class. Along with the first edition of the Pray and Play Bible.

I love this book for teaching children with. It has a great selection of stories and great pictures. It also has a wonderful selection of activities and songs that accompany the story. This is my second copy of this book!

I absolutely love this book. We have SO many Bible story books but this one is our favorite because it always has a song or three to sing at the end and a poem with actions to memorize. My girls are still pretty young (2 and 3) - or perhaps I haven't found the time - so we haven't done any of the crafts but I am looking forward to incorporating this book into story time with groups later on in life and actually doing the crafts.

I love this children's resource. It is a great book to have at home for family devotions or even a pre-school/home school situation. However, I used it in children's ministry at our church when the Sunday School teacher would cancel at the last minute or when there was an impromptu meeting for the adults and we needed a children's activity. The stories are beautifully illustrated and the songs and prayers and snacks and activities are usually easy to prepare and most can be done "on the fly." I have both books in this series and love them!

I thought these would be good for our Mops group. It has nice large pictures and great activities and even snack ideas great books

i purchased 7 copies for all the classroom. not too wordy, short and wonderful. We use with our MOPS program!

Gave as a gift for a dad to read to a young child. The dad loves it.
