I have a ton, like an embarrassing ton, of cookbooks and have never written a review before but felt morally compelled to weigh in in heavy favor of this book. First of all, it is a joy to read. Funny and personable. I don't know, perhaps reading it with an English accent in my head gives it a comedic advantage, but it was just a pleasure to read through. Secondly, and more critically, it is a fantastic set of recipes. I have made the brisket, the pulled pork, the short ribs, the house sausage and the porger sausage, the potato rolls, the mashed potatoes, along with the BBQ sauce and the mother sauce, as well as the green chile slaw (which has a surprisingly thai flavor profile) and the vinegar slaw. Every bite was hands down the best of its kind and this has rapidly become my gold standard BBQ book. All recipes were prepared on the Big Green Egg and were easy, though some do take a number of hands-off hours. Proceed directly to one-click checkout on this bad boy.

Not for the faint-hearted or the lazy, this is packed full of uncompromising recipes that are well worth the effort. The Kindle version is terrible though, no table of contents and weird rendering makes it very hard to navigate. The physical version is beautifully produced and well worth dropping a few more dollars on.

This is a great book! I ordered another one for my Son in law. Great addition to any cooking library.

I'm from the South and have actually been to the Pitt Cue restaurant in London and it was by far the best bbq my husband, best friend and I have ever eaten. This book is great! I bought it before our trip to London in 2014 for my husband and after making one of the pork rubs in it bought it for a friend for Christmas since he fell in love with the rub. Amazing book and absolutely stellar restaurant.

Great book for an engineer. Not to hard to understand.

This is an excellent introduction text about Fourier Series and Laplace Transforms. I found the writing to be very concise and clear and technical enough to satisfy those who want a bit of rigour but not too much to scare someone away.There is a nice introduction to Fourier Transforms which I think is very good, however it is a bit small for my taste. Also there is a small introduction to signal analysis which will please the engineer seeing it for the first time.I think the bread and butter is in chapter 7 with inverse Laplace transforms using complex analysis. It is an excellent introduction to using the Bromwich contour to evaluate inverse Laplace transforms. It is a great introduction to that topic and I have used it as a stepping stone to look at more advanced stuff.As another reviewer mentioned all the exercises have detailed solutions worked out in the back which should please any self-learner. Plus given the relativity cheap price (not as cheap as Dover) it is worth the money.

This textbook tries to strike a balance between the "toolkit" (how to use it) approach (supposedly) desired by engineers and the more rigorous mathematician's development. Speaking as an engineer, I found it not as intuitive as I had hoped (I'm more mathematically-oriented than most engineers) However, the book is clearly written and develops the arguments in small steps. Recommend it as helpful, but perhaps supplemented by more careful development.

This is an ideal introduction for mathematicians and applied scientists. Written in an easy to understand style and full of good relevant examples. I guess only the more mathematical will be able to digest the last chapter.All exercises have not only answers but solutions which students will appreciate.

I got this book as a birthday present for my husband who is a radiologist (for humans). He's got an interest in comparative radiology and this book made his day. The quality of the images, the comprehensive number of disorders, the clarity of the explanations, and the fact that it is a textbook of reference for VSci students and practitioners make of this textbook a pearl to have in our library.

The best radiology book in the world. It's the only radiology book I have been told to buy in vet school.

This book really helps me make sense of the physics involved in radiology. Very good supplement to class lectures.

I have found Thrall to be an excellent resource text to get a good grounding in radiography and radiology. The text is written in a very reader-friendly style, covering the main points without being verbose. The many radiographic examples often cover more than one instance of a particular condition, giving the reader different perspectives on conditions. My only desire would be to have more of the radiographs labeled with the radiological points referred to in the text. The updated sections on Ultrasonography and MRI give a student (and current practitioner new to these technologies) a good understanding of them.

This is a great book for veterinary radiology if you want to know a lot about it. This is by no means an introductory level book. It has small print and a LOT of information. If you are looking to become very astute at radiography this book will help take you there. The pictures are good for the most part, although some are zoomed in so far you can't tell what the original radiograph was. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a good, in depth guide to radiology.

Great book to have for reference for digital imaging. Provides anyone with fabulous pictures. Also helps with understanding the principles of physics behind the images that are being seen on the screen and/or film.

This is the second radiology book I bought this year because the one I have is not interesting at all. This book has excellent radiographs with explanations and that what a clinician needs. You need to read this book word by word and it explain you a lot.
