I really enjoyed this book. I liked the twists and turns. Vampire like men coming to Earth from a cold, destructive planet in the universe is not an every day event. I didn't want to put this book down, but I was very disappointed in the fact that it is really not a stand alone book. It is a cliff hanger.

I have read other books by this author so I was interested to see what this series would be like. It was a bit slow for me and while these beings were supposedly superior the three girls just stumbled on them after hearing noises. Surely they could have taken steps to remain hidden as they had been hiding from the human race forever without being detected. The story sometimes felt forced rather than just progressing at it's own pace.I kept getting flashbacks of another series "Keira Hudson by Tim O'Rourke" which had Vampyrus that looked like the "Coldbloods" in this story and had a few similarities such as the Lycans and their love hate relationship with the Vampyrus. Apart from that I found it difficult to immerse myself in the story compared to her other vampire books as I did not feel the chemistry with Navan and Riley. The two other girls who were all best friends faded into the background as well as the other hot supernatural guys with them. I think the story would have been more interesting to me if the whole group were involved in the adventure rather than relying on the two main characters to carry the story. I agree with another review that there was no real world building so I did not care about the two Queens or the outcome of the battle as the history of the Coldbloods was glossed over. Navan did not describe what his world looked like or even where it was let alone the customs or a description of his life there in any great detail. Things may change in the second book and I will give it a try to to see where it goes.

I love vampire stories, particularly when the author is creative not only with the delivery of the story but with a new twist on the vampire as a being in general. Nicely done, and I’ll be reading more after this first one!

I tried to like this book and had to make myself finish it. I found that her twist on super narrator being was stupid and made me mad. But this thing that really is not making me but the second book it it ends in a cliff hanger. It wasn't worth the .99c i had to play and I'm not spending $4.99 on a second d book.

I'll admit, I was hesitant to purchase because I'm a huge SOV fan- stupidly thinking, how can one author do another series on vampires without verging on redundancy. Well DUH, this is Bella freaking Forrest we're talking about! Hotbloods is just that, HOT. It is world's away from ASOV but still written fabulously! SO glad I took a chance on this series over Christmas Break, I do believe I've found my new must-read! You will NOT want to put this book down!

I read the sample and liked it a lot, and the further I got into this book the more disappointed I got. Completely unbelievable. A vampire type person, who comes from another planet and theres barely a shock factor from riley? The dialogue was just unbelievable as well. I am just truly astounded at how disappointing this book is. I know the writer took a lot of time and put in effort to write this, and I dont ever write reviews but this was just awful.

It’s very tame and mild. The concept is good and intriguing. Very easy read. I’m not a fan of the ending so that you have to buy the next book. It’s like stopping a movie in the middle. I think there’s a way to complete the story and leave it open that makes you want the next book but not have to buy it in order to finish it. So it feels incomplete and almost a sales pitch way of writing.

Let me start by saying I’m not normally into the whole sci-fi thing , but do love a good vampire romance so I read this book. I was pleasantly surprised. This is my first book by this author so I did not know what to expect, but I loved her style. Riley and her friends decide to do something together before they all go off to college , they wind up on a farm in Texas without all modern technology. Then some mysterious things happen, the meet 4 unique men. This is just the beginning of their adventure. I loved the romance between Riley and navan. This book had me on my toes and kept me turning the pages . Can’t wait to read the. Next one
