I wanted to say that this is one of the best books on the Aura and Colors that I have ever read or own and I have read many such book throughout the years. The best thing I like about this book is that Edgar Cayce in his readings during his lifetime answered my long-time question as to your "basic" aura, life path/purpose, and most importantly to me the colors one should wear in their clothing and the colors one should surround oneself with in their environment, and also the colors to avoid in both, etc. This is a question that has haunted me for years and I should have known to go to Edgar Cayce for the answer. Also, please note this book was written by Kevin J. Todeschi who is the current director of the A.R.E, in Virginia Beach, VA and has been since 2007. If you want the best information from Edgar Cayce, I would say look for this author amongst a few others like Mark Thurston. Thank you very much.

I have been familiar with Edgar Cayce and his books since I was 18 years young this is now more than 30 years ago and still find insights I have not seen before. Kevin J. Todeschi together with Carol Ann Liaros make this book a treat to read and very insightful to someone looking to broaden their knowledge of Auras, Color interpretations and Intuition. The meditations and exercises are not only to see and experience the aura better, they are universally applicable if you are interested developing your intuition and or psychic abilities. Several years back I had the pleasure to meet Carol Ann Liaros and experienced her skills first hand, she is an amazing intuitive and teacher no question about it. In short, I recommend this book to anyone getting into auras or trying to improve skills not visible with our regular 5 senses. This is a book for beginners as well as for someone more advanced. It is like with everything else in life you learn something by being aware, even though you might think you already know everything about a topic which really is never the case. Be Humble, See, Learn and Be Aware - eventually you will know.

This volume of two Paula Vogel plays is a very fascinating and valuable work. How I Learned to Drive deals with a taboo topic in literature and in most of society - familial sexual abuse. The lives of Li'l Bit and her Uncle Peck are displayed with a coy frankness that warrants a couple of reads to more fully understand. As the story unfolds, the readers find themselves flopping between one character and the other. You're never really sure who is abusing who.The Mineola Twins is a very fine social satire of alternate lifestyles and obsession with power. The quirkiness of the characters and some of the absurd situations provide an extremely insightful and amusing view on Boomerism and society's interest in appearances.Both plays are great reads - especially when taken in this one-two punch of a book. And, if you have a chance to see them on the stage, don't miss out.

The two plays in this volume have been performed recently in New England, and were among the best new plays I've seen recently. Particularly, How I Learned to Drive, as performed by the American Repertory Theater, was funny, touching, disquieting, and completely absorbing. There's more in both of these plays than I could absorb seeing them only once, however. Without question, How I Learned to Drive, which presents two complex major characters and asks us to question who has the power in their relationship and who is the victim, is the richer play. But Vogel's satire on extremism in the poltics and life-styles of Baby-boomers, The Mineola Twins, is a fitting complement to How I Learned to Drive. In both plays Vogel succeeds in disquieting us, urging us to see past black and white judgements and to understand that life in the human family (both plays contain the refrain "family is family") is complicated by many cross-currents. Consider reading these plays, even if you've seen them. (In both plays I discovered essential details I'd misunderstood when I saw the plays on the stage.) If you missed the chance to see these plays, do read them, particularly How I Learned to Drive. This is more than a story about sexual abuse; it's an extreme example of what can be true in any family, though we may be slow to admit it--that those who hurt us may also give us much love. Perhaps one sign of Vogel's sense of perspective is that this play--about the grimmest of subjects, child abuse--is as funny, at times, as it is touching.

This play does a wonderful job of bringing to life a situation often avoided in literature: sexual abuse. The author, Paula Vogel, creates the character of Li'l Bit so clearly that the reader has no trouble identifying with her. Vogel also uses Peck, the infatuated uncle, as a foil character for Li'l Bit by creating him in such a manner that forces the reader to find fault easily in him. This leads the reader to the conclusion that Li'l Bit is innocent in the horrendous acts her uncle continuously performs with and on her, which is very true. Since the acts of sexual abuse began when she was only a small child, she has grown up with this most of her life. To her it seems normal what is going on between her and her uncle, but when she finally leaves and goes on to college, she realizes how wrong it really is and finally gains enough courage to tell her uncle to stop. It is courage like this that most people, females especially, can relate to, whether they have found it for themselves or are hoping to find it in the future. This play brings that courage to life for them and makes it seem that much more attainable.

Full of valuable information on public health theory. It is easy to read, making the theory very easy to understand if it is your first time learning about theory used in health behaviors.

I didn't love this book, but I didn't hate it either. I did not find the content very interesting. Although it is applicable to the health care world, especially to the Community and Public Health world, the content was presented in a less than appealing way.

This is just "ok". I find many sections kind of boring and the author seems to jump aroud quite a bit.

Great product. Quality is solid.

Chapters are short and simple to follow. It gets to the point with explanations and examples. Includes global and national health crisis. Will update later when I finish the course.

Nice to follow along with. I have found myself destroying my friendships and relationships, so I needed to seek some further knowledge. My techniques were not working. I am a reader, so I very much enjoyed this. It’s also nice when reliable sources are cited and it is written by someone that, in my opinion, seems to know what they’re doing.

Very good interesting and informative read that goes into depth about jealousy and various ways to overcome it. It also includes numerous methods to improve relationships and marriages especially those burdened with infidelity and mistrust.

I loved this book, i opend it at the perfect time in my life. It as opend my mind, and as given me a new understanding and tools to deal with situations in my life. I highly recommend it, its easy to read and understand. And a book i will go back to if i find myself falling.

Really helpful in realizing that the thoughts and feelings are a normal but how to deal with them in a healthy way.

I learned a lot of cool tricks from the Playing With Fire web site, so I could hardly wait for the book to be published. The book is filled with a lot of great tips and tricks (many from the web site) for Fireworks users, both novice and pros. This is NOT a how-to-use Fireworks book, you already need to know the basics, but its tutorials are clear and easy to follow. I only wish that the book expanded a lot more over the original web site. Even so, I strongly recommend Playing With Fire.

Without a doubt this is the most valuable book on Fireworks I own. It expands your creativity and opens up an entire world of techniques, effects and all-round nifty ideas. I'm so grateful to the authors for writing it!

Actually, I had a very different- somewhat typical review planned for "Playing With Fire", when I read a negative review that was posted on this site. 'They' were disappointed that the book had 'nothing to do with fireworks 4' . After reading in utter amazement I realized 'the rub'. The difficulty is confusing 'how to do Fireworks 4 MECHANICS' with 'now that you have it downloaded, now what? I would bet that if that disgruntled reviewer purchased Joe Lowery's Fireworks Bible first, they would come out with a wealth of 'mechanical' knowledge covering material for the very elementary user thru to the advanced. And sometime along the way, I have absolutely no doubt that that very same reviewer, unless they already had an extensive (emphasize the word - extensive) art background, would begin hungering for a book that showed them how to put all these fabulous tools to work - creating artwork. 'Playing with Fire' admittedly does not begin with..."so you just downloaded Fireworks 4 and want to know where to start." There are many manuals and books for that. Where 'Playing with Fire' does begin, is when the 'computerartist' has finished the basic tutorials, copy-catted what he was taught and added his own little 'bent' to the image or idea, but now is ready to develop his very own creations from 'soup to nuts'. But how is he going to do that? Playing with Fire closes 'the gap' between those who have Fireworks 4 and those who can create spectacular work using Fireworks 4. Not only does the book teach mechanical aspects beyond the 'baby basics'(I can't count the number of insights I received and I began with Fireworks 2!), it dissects artwork using a software that is already within the user's hands. There is plenty of artwork 'how to' manuals out there, but many of them presuppose you know where to access and apply your tools.It takes the reader step by step, point by point showing you not only what to 'draw' or paint - but where to access the tools within Fireworks. It was because of this book I now know how to create an effect that I have been seeking the answer to for nearly two years! Because I saw my answer was in that book, I need to confess - I actually went into a bookstore of all things (unheard of thing for me to do since ...!) and paid ... MORE!!! - because I simply couldn't wait a moment longer. Then lo and behold I found ideas I didn't even know you could do in Fireworks! So, Dear Reader, if you want to have the answers to the questions before you even know you need to ask them, about 'how do they do that?' artwork using Fireworks 4, get this book.

"Playing With Fire" is one of those books that readers are going to love or are going to hate. You will love this book if you already have been introduced to Fireworks in the past and are in search for some new ideas for graphical design. You will hate this book if you are trying to learn the fundamentals of how to use Fireworks 4. If you are a beginner you should work through the Fireworks tutorial that came with the software and possibly another beginner level book such as "Dreamweaver 4 Fireworks 4 Studio: A Beginner's Guide". If you already have used Fireworks and are intermediate or advanced then this book should be in your library. When I first read through the book I felt as though it needed more volume to justify the price, after all most books on Fireworks are 500 pages or more. Then I realized as I experimented with some of the projects that this book is about creativity and originality. The thing that sets most web design apart from the crowd is graphics that catch the eye of your audience and make them want to read further. This book has several design elements that most Fireworks users will find as valuable inspiration that they may apply to their web pages. "Playing With Fire" does not teach you how to use Fireworks, it teaches you how to take the next step with Fireworks and create professional designs.

The authors of this book are determined to play to the weaknesses of Fireworks, as if trying to prove it's a better image editor than the big gun, Photoshop. In doing so, they completely ignore the strengths and value of the programme as a comping and layout tool for web design. Whole chapters are devoted to...Fireworks' text abilities, while very little is made of it's superior vector capabilities. Also to it's detriment, the book is structured in response to newsgroup postings and so plays to the intelligence of your average usenet poster, seeking technical support. If you're looking for "recipes" for bog standard, dated looking web graphics and effects, this is the book for you. However, if you're looking to discover and utilise the power of Fireworks, I highly recommend Fireworks 4 Expert Edge, a far more valuable use of money and time. For some reason, PWF has been positioned as some kind of companion to Al Sparber's DW4 Magic--don't be taken in, as it's not project-oriented, reveals little beyond it's own narrow objectives and is riddled with inaccuracies and poorly written instruction. Coupled with a useless CD to boot.
